"Nuovo" - Gianmaria Testa

I heard that song (plus a long interview) by chance on a French radio yesterday evening.

Nuovo is the new song by the Italian singer Gianmaria Testa, from his new album "VitàMia".
Listen to it, this song is so relaxing and melodious !

Plus, with the clip, you'd like to travel to beautiful Italian landscapes !

Enjoy...

Lyrics "Nuovo"

All I want for Christmas is YOUUUUUUUUUU !!!

"All I want for Xmas is YOUUUUUUUU!"

Love Actually

***

Christmas is a time to be together.
Xmas is a time to go back home.
Xmas is a time to travel.
Xmas is THE time when airports and trains are crowded.

Xmas is a time to celebrate.
Xmas is a time to sing.
Xmas is a time to pray.
Xmas is a time to eat too much delicious food.
Xmas is a time to rest.
Xmas is a time to experience peace.

Xmas has always been a time to watch movies too.
French TV always broadcast many of them between Xmas and New Year's Eve.
We'll have "Gone with the wind" again.
We'll have many cartoon (Disney, Asterix...) too.
We'll have Xmas movies too.

Xmas holidays start today in France.
I wished my friends to enjoy this time with their family.
"Merry Xmas and see you in 2012"

I can't imagine that 2011 started almost a year ago.
Time goes by too fast.
Luckily even when life is hard, you have your relatives.
That's what really matters.

"Love Actually" always makes me feel happy & Xmas-y, laugh, sing and want to live in London.
I know the dialogues by heart.

It gathers most of the best British sexiest actors.

Enjoy !

Lo Que Más - Shakira

"Eres lo que mas he querido en la vida." *

*English translation :
"You are what I wanted the most in my life."

Lyrics :

Ahora no parecen tantos

Sabe dios
Todo el amor que juramos
Pero hoy ya no es lo mismo
Ya no vamos a engañarnos
Es que soy
Una mujer en el mundo
Que hizo todo lo que pudo
No te olvides ni un segundo

Que eres lo que mas he querido
En la vida
Lo que mas he querido
Eres lo que mas he querido
En la vida
Lo que mas he querido

Happy Holidays

Since it's December, 1rst today, there was no doubt that the Thursday quote would be about Christmas. I started listening to Xmas Carols and specially the ones sang by Frank Sinatra.

Here are two of them ("Jingle Bells" and "White Christmas") from the great movie "Happy Holidays" (1957), starring Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.

I particularly like the "Jingle Bells" scene.

The comment on Youtube linked to the video of "White Christmas" is really interesting and is worth being read if you like cinematographic history (I hope that this expression is correct in English...).

Anyway...

Enjoy !

"Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot"

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white"

The 5-wish list

Days are getting sorther.
Today the sky is white in Paris.
It's cold outside.
Winter will be soon there.
On the other side of the Ocean, it's Thanksgiving.
Millions of American celebrate this special day.

Today I invite you to stop 5 minutes.
Take 5 minutes for yourself.

Take a sheet of paper and a pencil.
Write the main 5 things you wish to achieve within the 6 next months.
Realistic goals.
5 things you want to change.
5 wishes you've never dared to say
5 ideas you've always wanted to get real.
5 things you never have time to do.

Then

Write how you could achieve each goal.
Your strengths.
Your weaknesses.
What you could do to succeed.

Write how much time you need for each point.

Keep that paper.
Near you.
So that you can se it regularly.
So that when it's hard, you can focus on your goals.

Then...

ACT

Because with written, clear goals, you'll know "where you go".

I'd written mine almost a year ago.
It helped me even if my 5 wishes did not ALL become real.

I've just written a new list.

My 5 wishes.
My 5 goals.
My 5 forth-coming achievements.
