Moscow, away we go...

What would I do if I were in Moscow these days ?

That's the discussion we had yesterday evening with family and friends during diner.

No such a difficult question in fact.
I would go.
Go away,
Far away from this hell...

Because when embassies start closing their doors,
When they prevent foreigners/people from coming there
When diplomats/politicians/embassadors leave and bring back their families to their home countries...

It's time to leave.

It's not that difficult.
You bring all the members of your family + pets
You make efficient suitcase (important papers + money + useful objects).
You close the door of your appartment.
You enter your car and you drive far away.
Wherever you may go, it will be better than breathing in that "oven".

In Moscow,
The airports are overcrowded.
All flights are full and delayed or cancelled.
The countryside burns all around.
The nuclear centrals are surrounded by fires.
People lack serious information as concerns the toxicity of the smoke.
The authorities are working hard but the task is so big.

Yes, I would leave if I were there.
I know that it is easier to say it when you are in from of your computer, in the French countryside, breathing a fresh pure air (at 25°C).

I would ask my boss a few days off.
I would leave even if he doesn't give them to me.

Because I would not take the risk to develop very serious diseases do to this F*****g smoke !
Those kind of diseases they have talked about in Occidental media/TV/Press/Radios all day long for a few weeks.

European specialists recently published alarming comparisons with European toxicity norms.

In bleu you have Europeans alert threasholds
In red you have official datas for Moscow
In green you have usual datas for Moscow

I want to think that Russian authorities do all their best.
But I know too that in case of a major crisis, the most important thing to do is to avoid panic.
And this, even if it means hiding real consequences to the population or real dangers.

So, yes, away from Moscow I would go and fast...
